CHELTENHAM

SO9522NW WINCHCOMBE STREET 630-1/10/1011 (West side) 14/12/83 Nos.92 AND 94 with attached walls and gate piers

Pair of houses with attached walls and gate piers. c1818. Stucco over brick with hipped slate roof and gault brick party-wall stack with cornice. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 1:4:1 first-floor windows and with taller service ranges set back to sides. Outer ground-floor porches break forwards slightly, the outer first-floor windows are set back. Continuous moulded first-floor band. Ground floor has 1/1 sashes, first-floor has 6/6 sashes, all in plain reveals and with sills; blind boxes throughout. Flights of steps to outer entrances in stepped round-arched openings, 6-panel doors, that to left part-glazed, with overlight to left and fluted frieze and fanlight to right. Wide eaves. INTERIOR: not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: to either side a short coped wall to pairs of piers with plinth, plain shaft, frieze and peaked caps; C20 plank gates between not included.
