Scheduled Ancient Monument and grade 1 listed, 3rd century remains of the north tower of the Roman East gate. The posts indicate the site of the timber legionary fortress east gate built c60AD and the stone edge marks the site of the Lindum Colonia east gate of c150AD. Restored in 2011 with a £53,000 grant from english Heritage and £20,000 from it's neighbour The Lincoln Hotel
