House, now restaurant. Probably C17, rebuilt to front part in
early C19 with later additions and alterations including mid
C20 shop front and windows. Timber frame, with brick nogging
and tile roof to rear range, front part in colourwashed brick
in Flemish bond with concealed roof. 3 storeys, 2 first-floor
windows and range to rear. Casement windows to first and
second floors, all in plain reveals and with flat arches of
gauged brick, sills to second floor. Shop front has plate
glass windows on plinths, canted in to glazed door. Rear range
retains square framing.
INTERIOR: ground floor has chamfered cross beams, column
cluster stanchion, exposed square panels of timber framing and
diagonal tension brace to right wall and further morticed
post. Otherwise not inspected.
