GV II

Left-hand house of adjoining properties. Early C19 with later
additions and alterations. Orange-red brick with stucco
details; slate roof, hipped to left. Central stacks to front
and rear roof slopes have oversailing detail and pots. Timber
doorcase.
PLAN: Double-depth with central entrance hall. 3 storeys and
basement. 2 first-floor windows. Stucco detailing includes
sills and reveals. Soffited eaves. Window to ground-floor left
is 2/2, other ashes 6/6; all except second-floor under
cambered arches. Right ground-floor has 6-pane small shop-type
window with short pilasters, console brackets and fascia;
brick panel below. Stone step to 5-panel entrance door, bottom
panels flush-beaded, otherwise raised and fielded; doorcase
with pilasters, frieze and cornice. Left-return has two 6/6
sashes. Rear fenestration is similar to facade but sashes are
in near-flush-frames with architraves; replacement C20
metal-frame to ground-floor right.
