Hall house with crosswings, now large house. C15, altered and
extended C18, C19 and C20.
MATERIALS: Part timber frame with brick infill, part brick.
Old tile gabled irregular roofs.
PLAN: H-plan with later extensions on north-east, 3-framed bay
former hall with 2-framed bay crosswings.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attic, part single storey. 2 large
chimneys with corniced heads and clay pots, one on ridge to
left of centre, other flanking on right. C20 leaded casement
windows.
Southern entrance front has 2 single bay gables with 3-light
casements on both floors flanking centre section of one
4-light window on both floors to right of C20 gabled porch and
wooden entrance door.
INTERIOR: many parts of timber frame exposed on first floor
with curved windbraces. Most of arched braced collar truss
remains over former solar, but with braces missing. 2 large
inglenook fireplaces.
