Manufactory. Late C19 with minor late C20 alterations. Red brick with gauged brick embellishments and painted stone dressings. Slate roof coverings.
PLAN: L-shaped plan, with street frontage range and elongated workshop range to south of rear yard.
EXTERIOR: Symmetrical 3 storey range to street frontage of 3 bays, with semi-circular arch-headed openings to each side of central ground floor, that to the right the building entrance, that to the left the yard entrance. Wide window opening below gauged brick flat arch to centre, with C20 replacement frame. First floor with narrow outer window openings flanking wider window to centre, all with painted cills and sash frames, that to the centre 3 over 3 panes. Upper floor window openings are smaller 2 over 2 pane sashes beneath shallow segmental- arched heads. Rear elevation with 3 storey workshop range with monopitch roof to south side of narrow rear yard.
Forms a group with No. 4, Warstone Parade East (q.v.)
A small late C19 manufactory, displaying architectural and plan form detailing characteristic of industrial buildings in a specialist industrial quarter of Birmingham, now considered to be of international significance.
