Boundary walls and gatepiers. Mid C19.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar or dressed stone.
PLAN: Pair of heavy square piers, each from one block of stone, on slight bases, with double frieze-band, and heavy dentilled coping with blocking to shallow pyramidal crown, piers are approx 600mm square, 3m high, and spaced at 3m, but without gates. To right quadrant of low wall with flat coping returns to projecting wing to Hill Crest (qv), and to left higher wall continues across full width of site.
