Boundary wall, with gateway, and incorporating balustrade removed from Queen's Square. C18.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar.
EXTERIOR: Wall approx 2.7m high, and with high saddleback coping, abuts the right hand end of Lyncombe Hall (qv), and includes a plank door immediately to the right of the main range. The wall continues to the right, the coping following the downward slope of the hill, returning with a quadrant curve, containing a further plank door, to Lyncombe Vale, with one deep step down, but ramped down at the far right to a stopped end opposite the Lodge to Paragon School. For much of its length in Lyncombe Vale the wall carries a balustrade, on a flat coping.
