House in row, with shop. Late C18, shopfront 1888.
MATERIALS: Painted ashlar, slate roof.
PLAN: Tall narrow frontage property, but probably built as pair with No.3 (qv).
EXTERIOR: Four storeys, single bay, to high attic storey two small plain sash, above small tripartite plain sash, with cast iron balconette. First floor small Venetian window with Doric columns and entablature, centre light with balconette. Ground floor has full width brought forward display front with recessed door (1888, altered), further glazed door with diagonal glazing bars, under deep transom light, right. Moulded cornice above second floor, continuous from No.3. Small cornice to attic, with blocking course and parapet. Large deep stack to coped gable, left.
INTERIOR: Inspected 1981: an early C19 four-panelled door was noted, but little else remains.
