Two terraced houses, with shops. Early C19 with later C19 and C20 alterations.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, slate roofs.
EXTERIOR: Three storeys, three windows, all sashes. First floor has three two/two-pane sashes above three three/six-pane sashes. Ground floor of No.31 has C20 shopfront, with recessed door to left and right, under original entablature has original shopfront. That to No.32 is c1830. Upper floors have three giant Doric pilasters on plinth band, carrying entablature with frieze, blocking course and parapet, above pilasters are dies with pediment cappings, last bay to right narrower, with raised blocking and recessed segmental arch just above cornice. Deep stacks to left and right. No.32 has ¾ glazed door with shutter recess and partially glazed door shutter fixed in position: as such, a rare survival in the Bath context.
INTERIORS: Not inspected.
HISTORY: Part of carefully detailed terrace embracing also No.30a (qv), and Nos 1 and 2a, Princes Street (qv).
