GV II

Formerly two houses on sloping site at right-angle to road facing south, later public house. Early C19 with C20 alterations.
MATERIALS: Painted limestone ashlar, double pitched slate roof with moulded stack to left.
PLAN: Double depth plan with later additions.
EXTERIOR: Lower left hand block two storeys and cellar, two-window range. Parapet, cornice and ground floor platband, plate glass window to first floor, margin panes to six/six-pane sash window to ground floor left, six-panel with narrow overlight to right. Right hand block three storeys, two six/six-pane sash windows to second and one to ground floor, one plate glass sash to first floor with door to left. Right return on Gloucester Road, entrance to public house, has C20 window and door.
INTERIOR: Not inspected but said to be altered. Block to left is the last surviving house of the former George's Buildings.
