Two terrace houses. c1770.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, slate roofs.
PLAN: Double depth plans.
EXTERIOR: Three storeys, attic and basement, developed as full five storeys to rear through fall in site. Each two windows, mainly plain sash, and all to splayed surrounds. No.22 has sixteen-pane dormer. No.23 has twenty-pane dormer and four-pane at first floor. First floor windows to No.22 has cast iron balconettes. To outer bay of each six-panel door in stone Doric 3/4 column doorcases, painted to No.22. Plinth, first floor platband, moulded cornice, blocking course and parapet, coped end party divisions, and large shared central stacks. Rear, also in ashlar, has full attic storey, concealing mansard roof, with plain sashes to five floors, plus doorways to basement level.
INTERIORS: Not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: Basement areas are enclosed by simple spearhead railings on ashlar curb with rounded top, and to left of No.23 gate gives to inserted staircase.
