Early 19th century with later additions and alterations. 2-storey, 3-bay, rectangular-plan house with single storey range recessed to left; lean-to porch to side. Rubble; sandstone dressings; brick-built porch. Alternate red and cream (whitewashed in part) rusticated sandstone quoins; cream sandstone margins; projecting cills.
S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: keystoned, round-arched doorway centred at ground with timber panelled door; round-arched fanlight with decorative batwing glazing pattern. Single windows flanking entrance at ground; single windows in all bays at 1st floor. Modern timber panelled door in lean-to porch recessed to left. Single storey range recessed to outer left with single window off-set to right; 2-leaf boarded timber garage doors to left.
E (SIDE) ELEVATION: gable end with modern window at ground to right; small circular attic light centred in apex.
N (REAR) ELEVATION: modern windows centred at both floors; single window at 1st floor off-set to left; box dormer aligned above. Single storey range adjoined to outer right.
4-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows to front; some modern windows at rear. Grey slate roofs; stone-coped skews. Corniced, brick-built apex stacks; various circular cans.
INTERIOR: not seen 1999.
GARDEN WALLS: rubble-coped, rubble walls partially enclosing site (raised to frame pedestrian gate).
Formerly known as 'Mid Town House' (1971). The small door and relatively large windows suggest the latter were enlarged at a later date.
