Description

Circa 1765 with mid 19th century alterations. 2-storey, 3-bay symmetrical house. Random rubble with droved ashlar dressings.

N ELEVATION: centre door, timber mullioned tripartites flanking, enlarged to left, and smaller at 1st floor. Narrow single window over door.

S ELEVATION: door at centre. Window altered to French window to right bay. 1st floor bipartite to outer bays. Pentice-roofed projection linking left bay at ground to former outbuilding to S. Small-pane glazing to casement windows. Coped raised skews. End stacks. Slate roof.

Statement of Interest

Served as village shop earlier this century. Stone flagging and steeply sloping garden to S. Former UF Church lay to SE (demolished). Milestone by N elevation - Edinburgh 20 miles.
