28.10.1850. Railway embankment built above curved stretch of
roadway. Stugged red ashlar with bull-faced coping slabs.
Main wall sweeps upward from outer ends and is supported by
close-spaced shallow-battered tall plain buttresses, these
stepped below main coping - lower, steeply-battered
buttressing fills most intermediate spaces.
