Briar Cottage roof above the byre(cow shed)still has its original cruck timber framed ceiling inside. This section was re-thatched in 2009 on the banks of Loch Earn in Lochearnhead, Scotland. The picture shows Briar Cottage with Little Briar holiday cottage facing south, elevated behind.
