Description

Early to mid 18th century with 20th century alterations. 2-storey, 3-bay house, whitewashed random rubble with concrete margins. Door at centre with blocked windows flanking to left and above, and in outer bays, windows flanking at ground. 2 windows breaking eaves in swept tile hung dormers at 1st floor. Openings greatly altered at rear, small opening to W gable wall. Sash and case windows with 12-pane glazing at front, modern glazing at rear. Large stack to W and remains of crowstepped gable, No stack to E, red pantiles.

Statement of Interest

Probably formerly part of a row, indicated by large mutual stack to W and absence of stack to E. Concrete margins and blocked openings constitute 20th century alterations, the cottage is listed despite these for the early fabric incorporated.
