Description

Style of John Murray Robertson (Dundee) circa 1880-90. Single-storey stone-built circular lodge. Single window to W, 2 windows flanking door and notice-board to E. Tall circular stacks to N and S. Ogee slate roof with timber ball finial. Windows sash and case, 24-pane glazing pattern.

Statement of Interest

J M Robertson also designed Col Sandeman's house, Ravenscraig, in West Ferry. On the site of an earlier circular lodge.

To the W is the header pond for the Bell and corn mills, with an arched opening to each, that for Bell Mill blocked. Low rubble-built parapet.
