Square 2-storey library building with lower U-plan wings
to N. at W. end of Church. Painted rubble with margins,
piended roofs and eaves-cornices, large Venetian window
on S. elevation. Founded by David, Lord Madderty 1691, library
building erected by Archbishop Hay Drummond, 1758-62, Charles
Freebairn of Alloa, architect, John Feichney, master-mason.
