Comar Lodge was once the seat of the Clan Chisholm. The first clan chief to live there was Roderick (Ruairi N' Aigh) Chisholm of Comar, the 21st chief. The date 1740 is inscribed on the chimney piece, together with the initials RC. I took the photograph in 2013, whilst staying there. (It was at that time being run as a B & B.)
