3 principal building phases, latest and most extensive in
1844 (dated). Steading, one and 2-storey buildings around
rectangular courtyard. All rubble-built, with ashlar dressings.
N range: all 2 storeys, rectangular-plan earliest part
symmetrical, raised in height, door and slit ventilator openings
to courtyard, roof timbers held with wooden pegs; extended to W
circa 1800; extended to E and again to W 1844, with depressed-
arched cart openings and datestone below loft windows in piended
2-bay W elevation. E and W ranges probably also 1844; former is
2 storeys, with square-headed door and window openings to each
level of courtyard elevation (lower wing at S end); latter is
single storey with pair square-headed cart openings at either end
of courtyard elevation.
All roofs slated.
