Description

Circa 1855. Obelisk-type monument, in memory of Rev John Lamb. Painted ashlar. Obelisk, set on square pedestal with stepped plinth. Rosette studded upper band course to pedestal; W face inscribed "Erected by the Free Church congregation of Kirkmaiden to the memory of their late esteemed pastor the Rev John Lamb . . . departed . . . 1855". Monument set on square base of coursed granite; decorative cast-iron spearhead cresting surmounting base and encircling monument.

The Lamb Monument is situated in front of the former Free Church, which was remodelled for use as a church hall.
