Description

18th century. 2-storey, 5-bay pair of houses closing terrace to NE. Colour-washed with painted margins.

SE (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: part-glazed timber door (with adjacent small blinded opening to left, see Notes) in bay to right of centre, slightly taller door immediately to right and shop window to outer right, 2 small windows (at different levels) to left; 3 windows to right of centre at 1st floor and further window to outer left.

NE (KIRK WYND) ELEVATION: window to outer right at ground, and single storey building (listed separately) adjoining beyond.

12-pane and plate glass glazing patterns in timber sash and case windows, shop window fixed. Grey slates. Brick stacks with cans.

Statement of Interest

Property of Strathmore Estates (Holding) Ltd. The small blinded opening is thought to have been for depositing money, possibly a toll.
