Mid 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay house, at end of terrace. Harled; N elevation painted rubble. Painted shallow base course. Painted channelled pilaster strips. Painted raised tabbed margins. Modillioned course below guttering at eaves.
E (MAIN STREET) ELEVATION: pilastered doorpiece at centre, with cornice and angled tablet above; recessed margin; letter-box fanlight. Regular fenestration at ground and 1st floors. Painted brick pillar, containing post-box, adjoined to right.
S ELEVATION: adjoined to No 26 Main Street (see separate listing).
N ELEVATION: blank above rubble outbuilding adjoined at ground. Flat corrugated iron roof to outbuilding; door and window (formerly door) to E.
Modern glazing. Mutual concrete coped skew to S; scrolled skewputt. Mutual painted rubble gablehead stack to S; gablehead stack to N removed. Small purple slates. Cast-iron rainwater goods. Octagonal cans.
No 28 Main Street is the Post Office.
