Description

Earlier to mid 19th century. 2-storey and attic, 3-bay house, in terrace. Dry-dashed. Recessed base course. No margins; narrow concrete cills.

E (MAIN STREET) ELEVATION: stylised Corinthian pilastered doorpiece at centre, with dentilled cornice and angled tablet above; panelled door and plate fanlight. Regularly disposed fenestration at ground and 1st floors; windows enlarged at ground floor. Segmental-arched dormer windows above outer bays.

S ELEVATION: window to right at 1st floor, above adjoining lower building, No 20 Main Street (see separate listing).

N ELEVATION: adjoined to slightly higher building, No 24 Main Street, Corsewall Arms Hotel (see separate listing).

4-pane glazing in sash and case windows at 1st floor; modern glazing at ground floor. Coped skews to S. Dry-dashed gablehead stack to S. Small slates.
