Mid 19th century. Small rubble-built structure with double
lean-to roof 10' x 2' 6" all iron overshot a wheel in S.
compartment, reduction gear and pulley wheels in N. conveying
rope drive approx. 450' uphill to steading by means of pulley
poles (now removed). Disused but equipment complete.
Industrial interest only. At Tifty Farm 2 cottages of c. 1800
of some interest and at the farm and the Bungalow of Tifty a
large collection of old agricultural and blacksmithing
equipment of considerable note The Mill of Tifty associated
with the story of Agnes Smith is a complete ruin.
