Description

Circa 1800. 2-storey 3-bay terrace house with basement in
falling ground to rear and 2-storey rear projection.
Rubble sandstone with harl pointing; concrete mullions
to later bipartites and rendering to margins of openings at
rear.
E ELEVATION: door at centre; bipartites flanking and to
each bay at 1st floor.
W ELEVATION: piend roofed projection added by mid 19th
century to centre, at basement and ground floor levels; door
set deep in re-entrant angle on N beside, lower door of
original house; enlarged ground floor window modern garage
entrance inserted in projecting wing. 6-pane glazing pattern
to sash and case windows of E front; variety of glazing at
rear. Purple slates.

Statement of Interest

Middle, and probably latest, house of terrace formed of

3 similar houses. Flagstones and setts between terrace

and avenue. Imposing group, built for yeomen.
