Description

Mid 18th century. 2-storey pair of mirrored, 2-bay
houses. Pink sandstone rubble, in large, squared and
coursed blocked to roadside. Each house with 2 bays
grouped closely; doors to inner bays, 1st floor window
above and windows in outer bays to both floors. Blank
gable to N. Later, slightly higher house joined to S
gable. Former forestair at rear removed (1988). 12-pane
glazing pattern to sash and case windows. Gable end
stack to N, truncated. Pantiles.

Statement of Interest

Currently undergoing restoration (?) (1988). Bronze plaque

formerly attached denoting listed status, was wrongly

moved to White Briar Cottage to S, which is not included in

current or earlier listings.
