Early 19th century. Rectangular-plan cistern. Stugged
large pink sandstone ashlar blocks to E, facing Mid Green
and to dressings, rubble sides and rear; ashlar coping
to parapets to E, S and N. Round-arched panel recessed at
centre of E front. Glenfield and Kennedy, Kilmarnock, square
cast-iron panel with water spout. Stone slab roof.
1 of 2 wellheads still extant in Stenton; the Rood Well
to NE, listed separately. Daw's Well is sited by village
hall.
