Mid 18th century. Square dovecot. Rubble, tooled ashlar
dressings. Two doorways in outer bays of S elevation with
round-headed blind recess between. Similar recesses in N,
E and W elevations. Gabled corrugated-iron roof (replacing
former roof damaged during storm).
INTERIOR: 2 chambered interior of which only one is lined
with stone nesting boxes.
Dovecot depicted with ogee roof and central cupola in
William Tomkin's 'Rothiemay House' painted for Earl of
Fife in 1767.
