Description

1825-30. Square-plan, 2-stage dovecot, incorporating ice house(?) below, built into rising ground. Random rubble, ashlar alighting course and flight-holes. Door at ground to W to vaulted basement, lined with 2 courses of ashlar. Door to E to dovecot chamber above, lined with brick and stone nesting boxes; rat course, window above to W, 2 pairs of flight holes to S, set in ashlar panels. Currently roofless (1990).

Statement of Interest

Lower, ashlar-lined chamber probably an icehouse. Clunie House, Home Farm and walled Garden are listed separately.
