1844-6, extended in 1889 by Richard Park. 2-storey, 3-bay former manse with flanking single storey wings. Whitewashed rubble and render. Margins to openings.
E (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central doorway; recessed timber door; letterbox fanlight; single window aligned above at 1st floor; regular fenestration to flanking bays; single windows to single storey wings.
S (SIDE) ELEVATION: 3 single windows at ground floor, 2 single windows at 1st floor. Opening at re-entrant angle to single storey wing.
W (REAR) ELEVATION: single casement window to ground and 1st floors.
N (SIDE) ELEVATION: doorway to ground floor; 2 windows to 1st floor.
4- and 12-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; stone skews; gablehead stacks; circular cans.
INTERIOR: not seen 1999.
BOUNDARY WALLS AND GATEPIERS: low rubble wall enclosing site; circular-plan gatepiers to S.
A good example of mid-19th century manse. The remains of the United Free church stands to W of the house.
