Description

Early 19th century. Single-span, irregular-arched road bridge over burn. Rubble sandstone, ashlar voussoirs, rounded coping.

Statement of Interest

The arch is irregular to the extent that it is almost Tudor on the east and segmental on the west. The bridge is probably contemporary with others in Tealing parish which may derive from the agricultural improvements and drainage schemes of the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
