Mid 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay house and former shop with lower 2-storey carriage house adjoining at end of irregular terrace. Coursed whinstone with contrasting sandstone dressings to E elevation; rubble whinstone to rear and side. Base course; long and short surrounds to openings; long and short channelled quoins; cornice.
E (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: doorway at centre; panelled door; fanlight; window at 1st floor above. 3 (former shop) windows at ground to right of doorway; middle window made from doorway; single window at 1st floor above. Single windows to both floors in bay to outer left and recessed carriage house adjoining to outer right.
N ELEVATION: carriage house advanced at ground; segmental-arched carriage arch; 2-leaf boarded door; window at 1st floor to outer right; window behind at 1st floor of house to outer left.
12-pane sash and case windows. Grey slate piended roof; corniced wallhead stack to S; coped wallhead stack to N. Cobbled pavement.
Marked on OS 1863 and OS 1898 as Post Office. Forms part of Main Street B Group extending on W side from Hillview to Frandor.
