Description

Mid to later 19th century (post 1848). Single storey and attic, 3-bay cottage, at end of terraced row. Roughly squared and snecked rubble to S elevation: Painted rusticated quoins. Painted rusticated rybated margins to windows. Painted rubble to W elevation.

S (MAIN STREET) ELEVATION: doorway at centre, painted architraved doorcase with cavetto-splayed surround; modern partly-glazed door. Windows in outer bays. Modern full-width box dormer window.

W ELEVATION: gabled and blank. 2 stones protruding from gablehead.

E ELEVATION: adjoined to No 29 Main Street (see separate listing).

Plate glass glazing in timber sash and case windows. Red sandstone coped skews and scrolled skewputts, mutual to E. Painted rubble stacks with red sandstone rusticated quoins, and copes; gablehead to W, mutual to E. Purple slates. Square cans to E stack.
