Description

Mid to later 19th century (post 1848). Single storey, 3-bay cottage, in terrace. Squared and snecked rubble. Red sandstone dressings: simply architraved doorcase; rusticated rybated margin to window; rusticated quoins to E; rusticated quoin strip to right of left bay.

S (MAIN STREET) ELEVATION: doorway at centre; modern door and letterbox fanlight. Window in bay to right. Broad, flat-arched machinery opening in bay to left; timber 2-leaf doors; rubble keystoned arch.

W ELEVATION: adjoined to No 27 Main Street (see separate listing).

E ELEVATION: adjoined to No 31 Main Street (see separate listing).

12-pane glazing in timber sash and case window. Red sandstone coped mutual skews and scrolled skewputts. Painted rubble mutual stacks, with red sandstone rusticated quoins, and copes. Small purple slates. Square cans to both stacks. 3 large modern rooflights.
