Early mid 19th century. Restored 1985-6, Douglas Forrest,
architect. Pair cast-iron carriage gates with decorative
spearhead detailing supported by pair slender octagonal
gatepiers each with cusped panelled facets and crenellated
corona tap terminating with stiff leaf finial.
Flanking curved low ashlar coped rubble screen wall
supporting matching spearhead cast-iron railings.
Terminal square harled ashlar piers with substantial
cast-iron corona caps matching gatepiers.
