Description

1820-30. Single storey and attic, pair cottages with 5-bay
frontage to Grant Street, No 3 returning 3 bays to South
Deskford Street. Harled rubble, painted tooled ashlar
margins. Entrances in bays 2 and 4 with 2-leaf panelled doors
below delicately glazed rectangular fanlight. 3 windows to
South Deskford Street, of which one is blind. Later 19th
century gable dormer to Grant Street and substantial canted
dormer to South Deskford Street. 12-pane glazing ground floor
windows, 4-pane in dormers. Coped ridge and end stacks;
piended Banffshire slate roof.
No 1 Grant Street linked to Cullen House entrance by length
of harled wall surmounted by cast-iron spearhead brattishing
and with entrance screening service area.

Statement of Interest

Nos 1, 3 Grant Street similar to Nos 2 and 4 opposite, both

flanking the entrance to Cullen House and terminating street.

Good quality panelled doors.
