T S Robertson 1871. Simple towered rectangular-plan early gothic church. Rubble-built with ashlar dressings. Elevation to Street: tall central gable with 3 stepped lancets within relieving arch and linking hoodmould. Quatrefoil over. Finial missing. Small gabled porches to sides with lancets, kneelers and fleur de lis finials.
Square-section NW tower behind W porch, 3 stage with paired lancets at 1st, cusped lights at 2nd and twin depressed arch hoodmoulded louvred belfry openings at 3rd. Castellated parapet. Pyramidal spire with banded fish-scale slates.
Paired lancets to harled side elevations.
Slate roofs with lean-to aisles and tiled ridge. Unusual 2-light gabled dormers. Gable-end stack. Cathedral pane glazing, some modern glass to sides.
A mission station which became a parish church in its own right in 1875, with 600 sittings.
INTERIOR: Gothic arcaded nave and galleried aisles. Fine collar-braced roof. Floor raised to gallery level to create hall.
Low railed boundary walls to front with square chamfered pyramidal-capped gatepiers. Tall rubble-built walls to sides and rear.
An ecclesiastical building in use as such.
