Uploader's Comments

The Tay Bridge, built between 1883 and 1887, is approximately two and a quarter miles long and spans the Firth of Tay between the City of Dundee and the village of Wormit in Fife. It runs 18 metres upstream from and parallel to the first bridge which collapsed during a storm on the night of 28 December 1879, resulting in the loss of 75 lives.
