Description

1878. Single storey, rectangular-plan, shelter for cabmen. Weatherboarding with grey slate piended-roof, truncated ridge stack, 2 finials. Deep eaves, angle brackets at E and W, exposed rafter ends.

E ELEVATION: door; tripartite window at right with multi-pane upper glazing.

Situated adjacent to the railway station to S, the cabmens' shelter represents a crucial link in the transport system which developed in response to the growth of Broughty Ferry as a middle and upper class suburb of Dundee.
