Sir Robert Lorimer, 1902. Single storey and attic, irregular-plan.
17th century-style lodge and classical gatepiers. Harled, ashlar dressings, grey slate roof. Rubble base course, moulded eaves incorporating lintels of dormerheads, 6-pane casement windows, shaped gable dormerheads, deep eaves, piended bell-cast roof, swept eaves, uPVC rhones.
N ELEVATION: 2-leaf door with glazed panels at top and ashlar margins at recessed rounded bay at right, sculpted lozenge panel above; bay at left with off-centre bipartite windows, slightly corbelled attic floor with dormerhead at centre; blank recessed lean-to bay at left, coped and extended to masking wall at far left.
W ELEVATION: rounded staircase bay advanced at centre with stair window under eaves and semi-ogival roof.
S ELEVATION: main bay has bipartite window at centre, chamfered angle at left with 4-light window, corbelled to square at attic floor, dormerhead at centre; blank lean-to and flat-roofed bay recessed at right.
GATEPIERS AND GATES: 2 ashlar gatepiers with nailhead panels, patera-frieze, broken and open pediment flanked by lower walls with volutes and ivy covered quadrants; ornate wrought-iron gates and arch with monogram and heraldic shield.
Pitkerro Lodge and gates are in separate ownership from Pitkerro House. The dormerhead at the south is inscribed 'ADD'. The ironwork may have a direct 17th century source. The lodge is listed A in its context to Pitkerro House. See the Notes for Pitkerro House.
