Early 20th century. 2-storey, 3-bay, asymmetrical gabled Old English house. Red brick with terracotta dressings and details; concrete raised cills and base course; timber-framed gables; bargeboards; segmental-headed openings at ground floor. Timber mullions.
NE (MAIN) ELEVATION: 3 bays. Advanced gabled bay to outer right; bipartite segmental-headed window at ground outer right; roll-moulded string course; tripartite window at 1st floor. Door immediately to left, 4-panelled, 4-light segmental-headed door; inner half-glazed door; swept roof, slightly projecting eaves. Narrow gabled bay to left, window at ground; tripartite window breaking eaves at 1st floor.
6-pane over plate glass sash and case at ground; 4-pane over plate glass sash and case at 1st floor. Grey slate roof; lead flashings; coped brick ridge stacks; plain timber bargeboards.
BOUNDARY WALL AND GATEPIERS: brick wall with concrete coping bound house along Harlaw Road to NE; stepped toward NW end. Square brick piers with brick coping.
Uncommon example of use of red brick instead of red sandstone for a revival style design common in late 19th century England, particularly for estate architecture.
