1788-9 with later additions and alterations. Bridge of 3 segmental arches with semi-circular cutwaters and piers; solid coped parapets extended beyond arch on concrete lintel. Coursed stugged cream sandstone with rock-faced voussoirs to outer (original) spans; droved (largely replaced) parapet. Modern central arch with concrete ribs and stone facing.
The bridge was formerly a draw-bridge, but the central span has been filled when the roadway was widened in the 1950?s.
