Description

Earlier 19th century with later addition to rear. 2-storey, with partial basement, 3-bay symmetrical classical house, now subdivided by floor. Droved ashlar with polished ashlar dressings, with some rendered repair work and all painted; sandstone side and rear elevations, heavily pointed; harled and painted extension to rear. Base course, cill course to 1st floor, cornice and blocking course.

W (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: ornamentally panelled door to centre, rectangular fanlight and window at 1st floor above. Window to each floor of flanking bays. Basement window at bay to right.

E (REAR) ELEVATION: 2-storey extension to bay to centre, with cast-iron spiral external stair to 1st floor.

12-pane timber sash and case windows. Slate roof. Rendered stack to gable end at N; sandstone gable end stack to S.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1994. Shutters at 1st floor.

BOUNDARY WALLS: rubble with coping; rubble with some brick tall walls to side rear (S side).
