Description

Earlier 19th century with later alterations. 2-storey, 4-bay classical terraced house (subdivided into 3 houses). Painted ashlar, rendered repairs; rubble side elevation. Base course, cill course to 1st floor, dentilled cornice and blocking course; windows with moulded architraves, those to ground also with cornice.

SE (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: steps with ornametal cast-iron banister to Doric columned and corniced doorpiece in bay to left of centre, deep-set door, semicircular plate glass fanlight above, window at 1st floor. Windows to each floor of flanking bays. Door to extreme right (for No 20); door (for No 18) at bay to right, both at half-basement level. Half-window (with consistent dressings) to ground and window at 1st floor.

NW (REAR) ELEVATION: not seen, 1994; projection to centre.

Plate glass timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; rendered and ashlar stacks at apex, gable end and rear.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1994.

BOUNDARY WALL: droved ashlar with coping with later cement rendered extension to top.

The addition to the rear is seen upon Sutter's map, 1856.
