Description

Early 19th century with later additions. Single storey with basement, 3-bay symmetrical, classical house. Finely droved grey ashlar, polished ashlar dressings, squared rusty sandstone at basement level and side elevations, harled to rear, including extension to centre, extension to bay to right red brick. Base course, eaves course, cornice and blocking course; broad clasping Doric pilasters. Slightly raised bay to centre of principal (NE) elevation, deep-set door at top of

6 steps, plate glass fanlight, stylised vermiculated long and short quoins and lintel, flanked by pilasters. Windows in flanking bays. Rear not seen fully but single extension seen to bay at centre and to basement of bay to right.

8-pane (6-pane to upper section, 2-pane below) timber sash and case to ground, 4-pane sash and case windows to basement. Piended purple slate roof with rendered and coped end stacks; independent slate roof to extension at bay to centre of rear elevation.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1994.

BOUNDARY WALLS: harled and altered to front; tall rubble wall to SE. Railings to steps in place.
