Water of Leith Bridge, Dean Village, Edinburgh, carved stone.

Uploader's Comments

This stone is built into the south end of the bridge but was originally on Linday's Mill further downstream demolished in 1931. It shows crossed peels or paddles used by bakers to load the oven with bread. It had the date 1643 on it but this is now worn.
