Description

Built by 1780; alterations at ground. 3-storey, 4-bay tenement with pair of shopfronts (1 corniced) flanking recessed common stair door. Coursed rubble.

Timber sash and case 12-pane windows. Ashlar coped skews; brick stacks; grey slates.

INTERIOR: not seen 1995.

Statement of Interest

A Group with 85-99 (odd nos) Rose Street as as a significant surviving part of the original fabric of Edinburgh's New Town, one of the most important and best preserved examples of urban planning in Britain.
