Description

Later 18th Century. 2-storey, 3-bay, L-plan, house with pitched roof, wallhead stacks and single-storey addition at angle to side. Painted, harled rubble with recessed painted ashlar window margins and ashlar-coped skews. Irregular fenestration. Timber panelled front door in wing.

4-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows. Coped and corniced stacks with some octagonal clay cans. Graded grey slate.

BOUNDARY WALL: ashlar-coped random rubble boundary wall to S and broad similar retaining wall to front (E) of house.

Statement of Interest

A traditional house in a very prominent position at the foot of Dell Road bridge, and opposite St Cuthbert's Parish Church.
